DESCRIPTION

The butterfly is similar to the Brown Argus, but has a characteristic white spot in the middle of the forewing on the upper side. It can be found on well draing unimproved grasslands where the food plant is lightly grazed.


LIFE CYCLE

The larva feeds on Common Rock Rose.


FLIGHT TIMES

Early June to mid-August.


REGIONAL DISTRIBUTION

Locally around the Dumfries and Galloway coast line.
