25.08.11, Kilmarnock, NS 420378, Large White x 1
25.08.11 Culzean Country Park, NS 231099, Large White x 2, Small White x 3, Red Admiral x 6, Small Tort x 2, Peacock x 15, mostly on Eupatorium purpurea in walled garden

Hi Jim,
No Speckled woods? There was one seen on the 18th of August at Culzean, but that seems to be the only Ayrshire sighting (so far)this year. They were first seen around Culzean in 2009, so after 3 years I was hoping they would be more widespread and abundant.1km squares with records: NS2310 and NS2209.

Hi Scott
I spoke in the spring to one of the rangers at Culzean. She had seen Speckled Wood at Piper's Brae, which is in NS2209. I looked there this week, but had no success. The Rascarrel Bay SWs were still flying on 11.09.09, so there's still a week or two left.
