National Moth Recorders Meeting 2016
2pm- 4.15pm. Birmingham and Midland Institute 

The Sixth National Moth Recorders Meeting will be held in central Birmingham

The Programme can be found here. There is a £7.50 per person registration fee for attendees, payable on the day. This includes morning and afternoon tea/coffee and a buffet lunch all subsidised from Butterfly Conservation budgets.

Sunday 31st January 2016
Bog Squad Work Party
9am- 3pm. Fannyside Muir, Cumbernauld

The Bog Squad will be helping Buglife to restore Fannyside Muir, near Cumbernauld. This extensive and valuable stretch of peatland has been undergoing works to improve its habitat and protect the carbon locked within it. The Muir is home to a wintering flock of Taiga Bean Geese and also supports a wide variety of butterfly, moth and bug species.

Garden Moth Scheme Annual Conference 2016
10.30am- 4.10pm. Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, Wolseley Centre, Rugeley, ST17 0WT

Packed programme of talks, book and craft stalls, and lots of fellow moth enthusiasts to chat to. Booking essential (£5 attendance fee).

BC Scotland Recorders Gathering 2016
9.45am-5pm. Battleby, Perth 

Our annual spring Recorders Gathering is an informal meeting when we get together to look back on the recording highlights of the previous year, and discuss and plan surveys and monitoring for the coming one.
There will be coffee from 9.45, and the Gathering starts at 10.20, finishing at about 4.45pm, with a 1.5 hours for lunch. The cost is £10, to include a light lunch and all refreshments. The event is part-funded by SNH.

Mabie Forest near Dumfries 10.30 am
Target species is pearl-bordered fritillary but there'll be others on the wing. Meet in the car park. DG2 8HB (for satnav) off the A710
Please wear appropriate footwear/clothing, bring something to drink and also you may wish to bring a packed lunch
