Small Skipper and Camberwell Beauty in SW Scotland in 2006

A new species for Scotland does not come along everyday! A single Small Skipper was sighted by Dr. Stewart Graham at Gall Moss (NY027814) on 3rd August 2006. This is a species to look out for in coming years.

Also, a Camberwell Beauty was found by Anna Price, at Picketlaw Reservoir on 25th July. This is a migrant butterfly and rarely ventures into Scotland.
